Elizabeth Walsh reimagines Contemporary Western Art with profound color and detail. Her landscapes aim to capture nature's complex and mesmerizing possibilities. Recognizable imagery paired with mosaic-like impressionism bring new life to some of the world's most iconic places. These powerful pieces demand and hold attention while fostering a deep connection to place.
Born in Casper, Wyoming, Walsh grew up in the mountains and spent a lot of time outdoors around the state and region. She later studied International Relations which took her around the world to places like Colombia, Germany, and Tanzania. These experiences not only opened her eyes to new cultures and languages but also to diverse landscapes and scenery.
In 2020, Walsh moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and began a more formal career in art. She paints fine art, gallery quality pieces the majority of her time, but has also contributed to public art, installations, and murals around Utah. Walsh has been featured in galleries in Salt Lake City and participates in local art festivals.
Elizabeth Walsh loves hiking the Wasatch Mountains above Salt Lake and she gets most of her inspiration from hiking and visiting our nation's National Parks.
